Individual clinical supervision

Clinical supervision is essential for us to grow as practitioners and nourish ourselves in this important and personally demanding work.  Supervision can be many things, including:

  • a place to have your work honoured

  • a source of advice and guidance

  • an opportunity to reflect on challenging situations

  • time to reflect on interpersonal dynamics between you and a client

a chance to think about who you are in the work

  • a space to process and make sense of feelings related to the work.

I adjust my style according to where you are in your career, therapeutic models you are working with, and what you tell me about what helps you to thrive as a practitioner.  I aim to tap into the vitality, playfulness and heart that is central to therapeutic practice, alongside rigorous thinking about assessment, formulation and therapy process. I’m interested in what you want and need from supervision and encourage conversations about the supervisory space to ensure that it meets your needs for learning and support.

I am experienced both with group and individual supervision, and have been involved in training for psychologists becoming supervisors. I am a Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia for registrars and interns.
